✅Check out some of my FAVORITE GEAR on Sweetwater

Everyone needs PICKS! Check these out:
Lynyrd Skynyrd has always been one of my favorites....
But the band, no matter what song they are doing, always made great records....
-----------
It was a 1972 Stratocaster through a Marshall, played by Ed King...
After the basic tracking everybody else added their brilliant parts

He wrote it with Ronnie Van Zant and Gary Rossington

Hope you enjoy...
Thanks Tim

This song has so many layers to it. Once you get the parts nailed, the phrasing is something else altogether. Thanks for the lesson.

Dude literally best tutorial there is for this song. Not even 2 minutes in and it already sounds like the original. Many on YouTube are played weird and wrong this by far is the best one thank you

Thank you for this phenomenal lesson Tim!
It is amazing how genius those young guys were in their writing!
Alan was playing amazingly fast and intricate fills before ANYone and no one knows his name!

Fantastic Tim. Just bought my first strat after 40 years playing folk guitar. This is a great start on electric guitar. Thanks so much. Philip, Rennes, Brittany, France.

Hey Tim, great lesson and great factoid about The Strawberry Alarm Clock. Here's an even better one: I saw the group back in 1967, and the opening act was a guy no one had ever heard of. His name was Jimi Hendrix. Yes, he had the big hair, the wild clothes, and lit his royal blue Stratocaster on fire. Just imagine seeing him, and not knowing what to expect. He literally blew everyone away....and stole the show. Talk about a tough act to follow!! Ed King probably never forgot it.

Although I've heard this a million times I had to learn this fast for a gig and this tutorial got me quickly where I needed to be. I also highly recommend Tim's Masterclass for getting my playing back on track. Thanks Tim!
