Let’s try out some art supplies I got on my trip to London for my birthday.

I visited a few shops to get some sketchbooks, ink and pencils and I received a lovely Onion Skin Journal which I test in the video also.

I hope you enjoy it and that inspires you to try something new.

Let me now your favourite supplies down in the comments section.

Mentioned in the video:
@chromaphile - check out for colour and sketchbook inspiration
@SophieMcPike - check out for all kinds of inspiration, wholesomeness and beautiful art (and patreon sessions)

I love the Royal Talens sketchbooks with white paper 😍 and for me rambling videos are much more fun to watch!

oh goshh I absolutely love visiting these places when I'm in the city, I could spend hours in London Graphic Centre! If you don't know them already, next time I recommend visiting Green & Stone, L. Cornelissen & Son, and Russel & Chapple if you can!

I love using water soluble art mediums and would really enjoy a video dedicated to it. I like to see how other artists use the same materials as I do but in a different way. I’ve learned so much from watching artists on YouTube.

Thank you for sharing!

Talking about sketchbooks, this year i upcycled an old book cover and made my own sketchbook for the first time. I have so many paper pads, mainly watercolors, and some of them i have for 15 years?! It was ridiculous so i decided to make my handmade sketchbook so i can use all those paper pads, and have a sketchbook with very fancy and high quality paper. Also, i noticed that i get bored quite fast if i'm drawing in the same sketchbook for too long (same size, same paper for weeks and months). In my handmade sketchbook i mixed all kind and size of paper (like a junk journal) and i really like it! I can make very finished painted pieces, or just simple drawings 😁 In the opposite, after being inspired by Sophie McPike i also realized i could use much cheaper sketchbook/notebook, with thiner paper, and it still will work fine, but without the pressure of wasting a very expensive paper. So now i have both: a handmade one with high quality paper, and a cheap one with regular paper.
I think it's very nice to have a chatty haul, so we can hear the feels and thoughts of the artist.
Thank you for the video 💖

I like talking videos, so you can share tips or comments about it. Also I like to watch videos while doing something else and watching them side by side.

Thank you, nice art supply haul!
I was the one asking the question about the Royal Talens sketchbook in extra white and I see I'm not the only noticing that the regular sketchbook with creamy paper is very different. I'm using it but I haven't decided if I like it yet.
