I was born in Texas, I've lived in California and Colorado. I've lived in London, UK for 15 years. Sometimes this song comes on on my iPhone on a busy day in traffic or on the tube and I just need to pause, reflect and breathe. It reminds me of the one thing I know is real. Texas Forever.

Lol at the people who thought this was about the Town of West. It's not it's about the Region in Texas. West Texas were i was born and raised Odessa, Midland, Crane, Gardendale all those places are in West Texas. I grew up in Odessa and I can tell you this song carries the feeling of living there. 

There is nothing, but when you look at the sunset I swear all those feelings go away and your in the place you outta be. It's crazy feeling.

The movie Friday Night Lights meant so much to me... Quitting football after my sophomore year broke my heart, I'll never forget the memories though, especially after listening to these songs and watching that movie... Take's me back to a place where I find my serenity.

I went to Clemson soccer academy back back....im from Wisconsin, befriended a kid from West Texas. I was making fun of him, telling him wrong sport he always replied how do You play in the snow Eskimo. We were friends by end of camp. Good guy down to earth

I agree, football was huge at my high school in NJ (state champs!), but I feel like it is bigger down in Texas. Wish I can experience that one day.
