A movie you need to see if you haven't already is Donnie Darko. Genuinely changed how I saw movies after watching it. I'd say start with the directors cut because it has some truly excellent scenes even if some of the transitions are kinda wonky

I just subbed, I have my own dvd/blu ray collection of around 200 or so and the way you said they hold a memory hit home for me, I just feel like owning it not on digital just hits different
