Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When an unexpected sandstorm transports Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit (TI Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta) to a new world, the soldiers are shocked to discover that this hostile and unknown environment is home to enormous and terrifying monsters immune to their firepower. Things i wanna see from a Monster Hunter trailer: People fishing, farming and carrying stuff around a village, someone receiving a weapon from the smithy, Palico and a monster or two possibly fighting each other and/or against hunters. this movie does not look it's even slightly made for MonHun fans.

They just put in huge monsters fighting against some random US soldiers (that would not be able to survive against these) and called it Monster Hunter. This is just horrible, and does a disservice to the franchise.

I DO like how its some weird Portal magical phenomenon that takes them to Monster Hunter and how the Monsters come to the real world.
I dislike the lack of Palico and the Monster Hunter world looking like Monster Hunter.
Monster Hunter is known for having towns, cities, even small enclaves.
Its not just one big jungle/wasteland.
