UNC's Maui Invitational 1st Round opponent is set | Jasper Johnson (2025 G) commitment next week

A year after a devastating fire forced the Maui Invitational to move from Maui and the Lahaina Civic Center, the great Thanksgiving week MTE is back to its usual location and the Tar Heels are part of the eight-team field along with Auburn, Colorado, Dayton, Iowa State, Memphis, Michigan State & UConn. We learned on Monday from Jon Rothstein’s reporting that the Tar Heels will play Dayton in the first round. While the full bracket hasn’t been released, it appears that the Tar Heels will either play Iowa State or Auburn in the second game.

Jasper Johnson, one of Carolina’s guard targets in the class of 2025, is set to make his college decision next week, seemingly choosing between the Tar Heels, Alabama, and Kentucky.

I'm so tired of seeing these top 5 top 7 lists and these kids list UNC and we get crushed by Kentucky still even without Cal, now the rest of the damn SEC like Arkansas and damn Bama smh..i would do anything to see us get another class like the 2007 haul smh..a big time PG, SG and SF/PF...like damn...we know this kid is picking 1 of the sec schools, but i'd love to be wrong lol...they are becoming with the acc used to be
