I've had a lot of requests asking me to elaborate on my inkjet to wood photo transfer technique. There is not a lot to the process, but this should help.

Quick tip, you can wipe the label paper’s shiny side with a little denatired alcohol on a soft cloth and REUSE the same sheet to print another transfer!

Finally a tutorial video where I didn't fall asleep half way through, and where I don't feel talked to, like I'm a fool or a baby. A video that clearly, quickly and crisply gives all the relevant information.
Thanks!

Hey Steve! I have a really cool tip for you. Don't use shipping-labels, use an OHP-transparency for a Laser-Printer. After you transferred your image, simply wipe the transparency clean with some alcohol!

Under 2 mins, all the relevant info, no ads or rambling. Great job, now convince all the other ppl on youtube to follow this formula! 😆👍

Steve, I must commend you on such an awesome video.  Not just because the idea is awesome, but because you got right to the point, only talked about info that was necessary, and though the video was edited to keep it as short as possible, it contained every detail necessary to successfully DIY.

We are so used to 15 minute YouTube videos that could very well have been 1:30, that to see a video like this is a breath of fresh air.

This should be industry standard for tutorials! Love it!

Love the fact you didn't turn this into a 15 min video you hit all the important points explaining everything perfectly 👏

Well this is an oldie, but a goodie! I don’t need a laser printer or 25 steps! Simple and straightforward! Thank you!!

Pros: Clear, concise, straight to the point info! 👍

Cons: When you ripped off the new labels, I died a little inside. 😳

The fact you did a Dr. Who image proves I was right in subscribing to your channel. LOL.
Great video as always Steve.

FINALLY a video that works with inkjet. I been so busy trying to try ways others show and wasting my paper, ink & board canvas and this whole time it was just this easy 😒
Thank you for this. It finally worked ❤️

Works great for branding too. I do my editing in word, and then print it. Yes, Summers Woodworking it does work with wax paper too. To solve the feeding problems I tape the wax paper to a regular sheet and it works great. Thanks for sharing Steve

I know I'm late, but you using the Eleventh and Amy, making a dice box, ouija board and so many other nerdy things makes this channel golden! Since I first found you I have learned so much wood working and want to keep on learning. Keep up the good work and thank you!

Steve, this is fantastic.  Ever think about using this technique to fake elaborate wood grain on otherwise cheap or unimpressive lumber?

Thank you again for another game changing upload.  You've inspired me many times in the last year or so in my own growing wood shop.  I owe my love of pallet wood to you sir.

this is very cool better than the hodge podge version, by the way your video is a great example of how to make a how to video on youtube video, quick to the point only see what we need to well done.

Best video hands down! Straight to the point and I cannot believe you posted this 10 years ago!! LOL.. Way before the DIY craze!! Thanks!

Hey Steve I found that simple wax paper works just as well! It is a little harder to get in the printer unless you tape the wax paper to a regular sheet of paper first to give the whole thing rigidity to be able to place it in the printer slot.

I came to this video only now, more than 6 years after you released it, because you put a link to it in your yesterday's video . Thanks for leaving your old videos here!
This technique works also for prints from a laser printer. I tried that out, already a few years ago after watching another video on the same topic.
The wood needs to be sanded very smoothly for the best result. I didn't try coloured prints because I don't have a colour laser printer (yet)
Before I had an colour inkjet printer but that was not very economic. I hardly used the coloured ink but I had to change them all the time because otherwise it wasn't
able to print black.

Tried it today, it worked so well, thanks Steve.
I printed some veggies illustrations and put them on my chopping board then I protected with food safe varnish
