Honestly, from i have seen from Brighton. Their style of play similar to that of Man City. They like to have possession, they are comfortable with the ball. They lure in their opponents by playing from the back - involving the keeper. Then when space opens up they counter. Same thing with city just that most clubs let city have ball while they defend deep and wait city to make a mistake and pounce on it.
