It’s a dark theory that also includes the other kids being from different times who also died in a horrible way and the cul-de-sac is actually them all being stuck in limbo waiting to pass on. It would explain why we don’t see any other kids when they’re in school and the Kankers are meant to be demons trying to drag the kids to hell.
