TROMBONE SLIDE TECHNIQUE FOR BEGINNING AND INTERMEDIATE TROMBONISTS: Clinic at Stapley Junior High School
On March 6, 2020 I did a clinic with the jazz trombone section at Stapely Junior High School. We covered many topics including trombone and brass playing basics, trombone slide technique, F Blues, and more. You can view the video of the entire clinic here:
Here is a highlight from that clinic where we went over trombone slide technique. I made a separate video to make this information on trombone slide technique more accessible. Slide technique can be a difficult concept to both learn and teach! This video is aimed towards beginning and intermediate trombone players. I uploaded this video to YouTube so the students can go back and reference what we talked about during this clinic. I would also like this video to be a reference for Junior High School and Middle School Band directors who are looking for resources on how they can teach their young trombonists. And of course, to any young trombonists out there who would like to improve their skills!
