Even as a huge fan of the games, I always knew that it would be harshly rated by critics, but loved by the fans. That being said, I'm very much looking forward to watching the movie today!

Seems to be a case of the movie not knowing what it wants to be. It wants to appeal to new fans but also leaves references for older fans. Yet, because they want to include everyone, it results in a tonal whiplash where it is uncertain what audience they are trying to appeal to.

I’ve seen some mixed reviews on this movie, but 3C’s is the one I’ve been waiting for. He’s a fan but also a fair critic, kind of the best of both worlds. Can’t wait to hear the review!

I’ve never played FNAF, but I’ve been watching videos about the lore just so I can watch this movie. I’m not going to go in all skeptical like the critics, instead I’m just going to appreciate it for what it is and have a good time with it.

I still remember when I first watched my favorite YouTuber play FNAF 1 around 2014. Little did I know that this game would hold a large significance in my life for the next 9 years. To see how far FNAF came makes me feel so nostalgic. Dang.

At the end of the day, this movie was being promoted as "was made for the fans". So knowing that, you know that if a sequel is made, they are going to go by the audience reviews instead of focusing on what critics have to say. I love this series of games and I do wish we ending up getting more for this movie, I still had a great time with it!

I'm amazed that this all started as a simple point-and-click indie horror game and turned into a massive franchise with tons of sequels, books and now a theatrical movie. Seriously, Scott. Well done.

I liked the movie. I think lots of people hate it because of the hype it got. So many people over hyped it and that made it in likeable for some people since they thought it would be best movie ever. As a big fan I think it’s really good.

What baffled me the most is how the series is most famous for its jumpscares, yet none of the animatronics caused any jump scares.

The good thing about a lukewarm reception of the movie is that Scott will learn from his mistakes. He's pretty good at taking criticism and fixing things that went wrong.

What i loved about this movie was that it didn't have a lot of gore, makes it perfect for me. What i liked about the games back as an 8 year old was that they were scary without being visually disgusting. This movie portrayed that perfectly and i really enjoyed it. It was so fun

WHEN the 2nd and 3rd movie get greenlit, I hope they take the criticisms of this first movie to improve on all aspects. Especially opening it up to a wider audience so the fanbase can grow and evolve. Cant wait to see it on Saturday tho ❤

I completely expected this outcome between fans and critics. If this movie is playing along with the games, the sequel will explain A LOT of missing information for new comers. I think it’s great! It’s exactly how we, the fans of fnaf, HAD to experience it!

I’m honestly glad you’re being very honest with this review, I’m seeing the movie tomorrow and I’ve heard very good things from fans but not so much from a general audience.
