Gateway Drum Smoker - Seasoning

On this video I season my new 55g Gateway Drum Smoker! This isn't absolutely necessary according to some but I season every new grill I have! The actual instructions for seasoning you Gateway Drum Smoker come with it when you purchase it! This was my first time firing up the Gateway Drum Smoker and messing with the temp control and she ran as advertised, and that is one of the many things I love about drum style smoking. How do you add charcoal when you start running low & you have meat on?

Might want to research oil dry in the bottom. Lots of guys say they recommend that to catch grease drippings and make easier cleanup

Nice smoker. I have the Oklahoma Joe's Bronco Pro in an orange color that I got this past November. For whatever reason, I have always had trouble maintaining the temps on it. Not sure why? Was thinking of possibly selling it on Offer Up and then buying a Gateway or a Hunsaker. What are your thoughts between the two if you did compare them?
