Why your Furman PL-8C lights aren't on (Dimmer switch is an On/Off push button)

Seems silly but I have ran into a few people who didn't know why the lights aren't on including myself at one point. This applies specifically to the PL-8C. Basically they changed the design from the lights being always on to the dimmer switch also doubles as an on off button.
