Wow I'm enlightened, l learned that you need hair to clip the kippah, I always wondered how it's stays in place so perfectly.

I wear mine without any hair clips, and if a Jew who is bald has a large enough kippah, the kippah stays on because in many directions, the kippah has a surface directly underneath it. Shorter hair makes the kippah stay better, and being bald with a larger kippah makes it stay on the best.

This was more of WHY to wear the Kippah. I wanted to know HOW to wear it: position, how to keep it on...

I like how the video starts with the small hat rubbing his hands.

Is the kippa supposed to cover the crown on your head?

Rabbi Salfer, are you familiar with the ancient Jewish practice of the Kabbalah?

Even though I’m Roman Catholic, I’m starting to get the idea I should wear a kippah since it’s what everyone in The Bible, including Jesus, probably wore during prayer.

It's a reminder that Adonai is watching over us, and it is also handy to wear during the day because you might need to pray and you have you cover your head whilst praying. It is also a sign that the wearer fears Adonai, which is what we do and are supposed to do. There are some forms of Judaism that don't wear the Kippah all of the time, and don't think it is an obligation. I feel obligated because I choose to, not because someone told me to.

rituals, tradition o.k. But who said it's an obligation? Even the Vina Gaon and others don't hold by it that it is an obligation, nor is it a minhag in all countries. So why keep this dogma?

Lol...a toupee? If that counts can't I just wear a baseball cap, a fedora, a shemagh...or perhaps a balaclava. Smh!

So, Jews wear the Kippah because the High Priest of the Temple wore a head covering.
Why aren't Jewish men wearing the same head covering as the High Priest did then?
Using your reasoning all Jews are High Priests?
Well the men of the 12 tribes of Israel at the time of the Temple did not cover their heads.
It's a Tradition - something added to the Tanakh, which is a sin.
TETRAGRAMMATON our GOD did not say to cover your head.
This idea of covering the head come from the time the Jews were held captive in Babylon.
The Babylonians covered their heads when they prayed to one of their idols.
That's where the idea of covering the head came from.
Covering the head is not in the Tanakh nor in the New Testament.
It's not what is on the outside that counts, but what comes from the heart outward.
It is silly to say I wear a Kippah so I can remember TETRAGRAMMATON is above me.
How could anyone forget TETRAGRAMMATON is above?
Do I really need to cover my head so I can remember TETRAGRAMMATON is above me?
