Having worked in Phone Repairs and Technical service. The reason it got declined for that small chip out of the glass. Is because it’s possible for the whole screen to stop working because of that. We saw that happen many times.

Got a $30 sapphire tempered screen protector and I have dropped it countless times. Protector has cracks all over but only visible when screen is dark. Does not affect functionality nor visibility when using it.

Legit question here, does using the wire/pry tool damage the OLED below?? I would assume so seeing as the metals hardness is fairly high compared to what the OLED’s top layer is made off (I think)

In my case, the glass is shattered in the corner. Is it better to start at the corner where the glass is shattered or is it better to start on a corner where there is less damage?

Problem with this repair is that for you and me would be no problem. But for the regular Joe they would crack the shit out of the screen upon removal from the phone. 😂

Yo thats nice. I have a question. Can you fix a broken glass lg g7 thinq? Device has 4k screen so its hard to replace. Only glass broken and screen works fine and every place is touchble.

Wow. My phone was cracked just like that, but they accepted the trade in anyway. I even called them and told them about the crack just in case they denied me after shipping out the phone and they assured me it was fine.
