Have you heard of a system for the back of a pickup truck where the bikes are standing, similar to how you have the mountain bike on the roof, that is with the front wheel off and the forks in a quick release? That would allow a few bikes in the bed without having them rub against each other. I seem to recall seeing that setup once but I'm not sure if it was something that was home-made.

My general rules:
If clean bik en large car. Put it inside.
If regular car put it on towhitch
If you dont have a hitch. Only than the roof.
If more than 4 bikes, rent trailer.(there are deticated bike trailers

I have a question, this doesn't have anything to do with this video but i figured you may know the answer, I just watched a video stating that you can save weight by removing the centrifugal clutch weights from behind the Cassette, is this true? it came from a channel that in my opinion is pretty knowledgeable. Would their be any repercussions from doing this? Thanks

Having a sedan car, that was a pain to transport a bike: both wheels off, it fits on a back. Once I even mamanged to fit 2 bikes with removing the back seat. )
Then I've got Thule top rack. Now the problem is... i have a paranoia It'll be stolen. With or without bike. ) The problem is the railings on my car are kept in place with simple butterfly nuts (even tho I've changed them to ordinary nuts), so locks on a bike rack doesn't make point.
Looking forward to buy some wagon-type car...

Danny, check out Seth's channel (Berm Peak)! Seth has a soft inlay (Pedro`s?) for his pickup and the bikes are hold in place just perfectly. And that's much better than on the roof or behind the trunk.

A bike rack on the tow bar is great but it has one more drawback. The bikes at the back of the car get quite dirty when driving on the rain, driving on dusty gravel roads or similar conditions. On the roof the bikes would stay cleaner.

People seem to miss the point of a truck bed. Seriously put down a mat and lay it down in the bed. Out of sight and secure. If you are a hoarder I guess these other ways will work.
