5 AI Business Ideas for Filmmakers and Videographers

In the past 12 months, I’ve been completely consumed with AI. I’ve tried hundreds of AI tools, sped up bunch of my daily tasks with ChatGPT, used AI for sales copy and automations, starting to use Midjourney, Runway and Eleven Labs with some client work. And started a couple of AI companies.

For filmmakers, videographers, content creators and production company owners, I have 5 ideas that combine AI with video production and can be very lucrative businesses.

Idea 1: International Content Strategy
If you create corporate, commercial or training content for companies, there are several AI tools that can help you translate all that content into 30+ languages and make them available globally.

You can use Descript to turn any video into a transcript. And then, you can use DeepL to turn that transcript into any other language.

Idea 2: Company Docs AI Assistant
You can turn all the company videos into transcripts and train an AI Chatbot with those documents. You can use customGPTs or Zapier AI chatbot to build these and it’s a great add on for any company.

Idea 3: Create a library of content for companies for implementing AI
If you make training videos, you can offer a service where you teach companies in specific industries how to use AI.

Idea 4: Dub foreign films into any language
There is an AI app called ElevenLabs. It can take any voice, and translate it into any language, using the speaker’s original voice.

With this, any film can have a global audience.

You can create an entire trailer to pitch using Midjourney and Runway.
