That was a time lapse... a Hyper Lapse has a changing frame, aka the camera is moved at equal intervals of space while the shutter is open/closed at equal intervals of time.

If the camera stays in the same position, then it is just a time lapse (whether it's from the top of Everest or shot from a hovering drone).

You think there is camera shake when doing a time lapse like the one in this video, you should try stabilizing photos taken with a moving camera. Sorry if I come across harsh, it's just that real hyper lapses are hard via drones which is why I clicked on this video. Add to that ones that goes from sunset to dark and deal with changing light conditions.

You really need to change the title of the video though.

I did like your stationary drone time lapse though. Those ocean winds are tough to get stable footage in, yet if you pull it off (like you did), you get crazy wave and cloud action...

Great tutorial. I've been looking for a good explanation of how to do this and you hit it on the head. I just found out to that Resolve will automatically stich together photos into a video sequence without using that assembler program. All you have to do is drop the file, without opening the folder, just frop the whole folder into your media bin and it looks at it like it's a video file and boom it's there. Not sure if you were aware of that, I wasn't until I watched your video and went down the YouTube rabbit hole watching more videos on hyperlapse. Great job!

Great video! Did you to push the shutter button once for every picture? Is there some automatic way to set up the interval between pictures?

I am just learning about Hyperlapse and this is the first tutorial of demo I have seen about it. I love the effect and other than being time consuming, it does not seem to be that hard to do. Now all I need to do is just learn basic video editing. Thanks for a tutorial that even a dummy like me can understand.
