This is a very common problem, but the main reason I wanted to share this was to stress the importance of understanding how a system works prior to attacking a problem. Nothing fancy required to pinpoint the problem, just a simple common sense approach based on the complaint.

Thanks for watching and your continued support!

Thanks for posting this video. This is exactly what happened. Wife was on 20 hour drive and called about cruise not working. Called her and she pulled up on brake pedal and now it works. I guess after 140, 000 miles some things get worn out. This would have been very difficult to troubleshoot without your video. Thanks again !!!

Thanks for sharing with us! Ever notice every manufacturer across the board ( as far as I have seen) 25 mph lowest cruise setting?

Funny I've found many a GM cars running 4t65e with same issue, misadjusted brake switch and usually they are searching for mysterious engine misfire and eventually wipe out trans at lower than normal miles.
Got a 98 regal back in '13 for $350, dropped my battery in topped off coolant and replaced front tires. Put about 2300 miles on it(bought with 131k and burnt trans fluid) then had to eventually install used trans I got that came with 130k on it so it was solid, red fluid and all. That summer I traded in my Solus Pro for Solus Ultra, stuck it on car and was graphing things from trans as I drove home, the BOO or brake switch looked like O2 sensor on meth. Was supposed to be on or off. Pull pedal up with toe and tada my mysterious cruise shut down and jerky tach I had to fix by tapping brake was misadjusted brake switch.
