Scotty, you're right. I saw so many used Corvettes that looked beaten to death that I quit trying to find a used one. I've never seen a used well taken care of. Vey disappointing what people do to those cars.

I own a 1999 Nissan Frontier XE 4X4 6-cylinger 3.3 liter engine that has 150, 660 original miles on it. This averages out to 7, 533 miles per year. This sounds about right. The truck was made two years before I retired. Last year, I placed 3, 000 miles on the truck for the entire year. Hard to believe the truck is 20 years old. Still, runs great. I did just buy a Brand New 2019 Toyota Tacoma 4X4, 4-Cylinder, Access Cab, A/T with long 6-foot bed. I didn't trade in the Nissan because they were only going to allow $2500.00 for trade-in. I decided to just keep the old truck. It is now my "Beater" drive. :) Love the channel. Here is something I learned at the dealership, that your viewers may find interesting. I never finance a new vehicle, I always save my money and pay cash. I bought from a large dealership located in my home State of Arkansas. When asked how I would like to finance, I told them I would pay in full, using a check, which I did. The Finance Manager informed me that for every 100 vehicles sold maybe 1 of 100 would pay in full. The other 99 would finance. He also said, about 25% - 30% would end back on the lot in a year or so because of missed payments. He said it is really bad currently, and has been for the past couple of years. Just interesting, but I follow world finances and understand why.

First time I have ever disagreed with the great Kilmer :-) prep the heck out of the surface And the paint will not want to chip off in big chunks like he showed us. I admit the door jams can be a pain in the neck to paint however. With my car I’m going perhaps from one Broad to another brown color, so I probably won’t bother with the door jams.

You keep saying "Have a guy like me to check it out before you buy it"
Problem is====THERE IS NOBODY LIKE YOU!!!
I am a mechanic and have been watching you for years and we are spoiled.
There may be no one like you on the face of the Planet!
Thank you Scotty!

You also have to paint inside of doors, door jams, rocker panels, under hood, under trunk lid and inside trunk, etc.
