RIP Laurie Bartram (May 16, 1958 – May 25, 2007), aged 49
Gone but not forgotten.

Poor Brenda. She technically followed the rules of what Jason's mom wanted (by helping a distressed child) and got unfairly killed.

I met her in 1990. She was very nice. Unfortunately she passed away from pancreatic cancer later on.

This is scarier than any scene in Halloween!

Brenda is clearly terrified by the voice calling for help. Why didn't she run back to the main cabin and get the support of Bill and Alice? The main cabin couldn't have been that far away.

:24 is really a scary moment, where Brenda hears the (disembodied) child’s voice from outside screaming for help. (Of course we know this is the second time Brenda hears it; the part where Pamela-invisible of course-sneaks up to the window and spies on Brenda as she goes to bed and reads-was deleted), and as she goes outside and keeps calling “Hello? Hello!” all the while the voice is saying “I’m over here, come quickly, HELP!” until they reach the archery range, Jasons mom turns the lights on, and Brenda obviously realizes it was a joke all along. Of course, it’s obvious that was Pamela Voorhees mimicking her dead son’s cries for help as he perished in the lake, roughly a quarter century ago; done so as to entice Brenda out of her cabin as a joke, ultimately so as to kill her and avenge young Jason’s untimely death, of course.

And this proves the first rule of slasher films: never go off alone.

Benda's original death was on-screen. It was cut in the late 80's. In the original version, ater Brenda says, "This isn't funny anymore1 Cut it out!" we see Jason's mom preparing a bow and arrow. She strikes Brenda with the bow and arrow and the bow hits her sending her back into the target as she screems.

How did mrs Vorhees do such a convincing child’s voice?

I got some exciting news for you guys Brenda Jones/Laurie Bartram’s widower Greg has told me he will represent his late wife at Friday the 13th actor reunions. I’m going to start connecting Greg to the surviving actors and actresses. Laurie lives on through her family.

I wonder what kind of flashlight she was using?

This gotta be the scariest scene in the movie
No blood no gore, just horror

I personally don't like off screen kills, wondering how Brenda was killed?

When Brenda sees someone watching them in the trees. Does anyone know exactly where Mrs Voorhees was in the trees? I never saw where she was
