I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MASTERPIECE TO BE TRANSCRIBED SINCE MORE THAN TEN YEARS.. FRANKLY, IT IS MY PLEASURE TO BE PART OF IT. MANY THANKS, DAAN. YOU DID A CHALLENGING WORK.

Just so beautiful...Peterson was da man...I was due to see him and had flown over to the US from the UK and that's when he had his stroke...gutted me! When I listen to this tune, on the one hand I am truly amazed at his dexterity and grateful that he recorded this track and on the other hand, it makes me want to cut my own fingers off in frustration...🤣😂

I worked this out on guitar years ago, it fits surprisingly well

What I love about this is that first time through you feel sure it's swung, like Nina Simone's Baby Just Cares, and then the guys come in and, oh, it's straight, like a bossa nova.

"L'impossible" - was Oscar challenging us to try and play this solo or was it a comment from one of the sidemen at the session? job transcribing this virtuosic solo Daan!

Well done! In bar 5 though, there is the perfect 5 (Ab) of Db, not the b5. So the chord symbol should be changed, e.g. to Dbm7. Or you could call it Bbm7b5 (with a Db bass). The same is true for all other Dbm7b5 chord symbols in this transcription.

Can you write the transcription piano solo Oscar Peterson "Manha de carnaval" and "Dancing on the ceiling"?

Db-7b5 is really more of a Db-6 in measure 5 imo
