Thank you. It is very informative and helpful for a person with no experience with these stoves.

This reminds me of growing up in Jamaica in the late 60s and 70s. Our house had one of this stove, a kerosene oil refrigerator/freezer, deep freezer, blow torch, and a Tilley hurricane lamp. Power outages did not adversely affected us.

A lesson in how to do a "how to" video.
Full marks for the whole thing Bernie <thumbs up>

Great to see these burners, my Dad used to brew up at the side of the road on one of these on our holidays in the early 60's. I used my Grandfather's Sirram Wasp yesterday to try it out, maybe you have seen these, I think the key feature is that it's a kettle and teapot all in one so maybe of less interest in the US market.

Outstanding video. Thank you. I have 2 of these roaring stoves from India. Very old. There are made from brass but I never knew how to operate them. I am going to buy the kerosine / or lamp oil and try it.

My mother used to make home-made tomato paste at the end of each summer on a Primus just like the one on the right.

Thanks for the video, can I ask how much fuel is needed to fill tanks from empty? Your vids have been so helpful

Thank you. This is exactly what I wanted to know. One question Bernie, how do I know if my stove is silent before operating it? It's a Svea #5 and I literally bought it at auction yesterday.

Food tastes better cooked on these stoves and the aroma gives you an appetite

What pressure does the tank need to be maintained at to produce a sizzlin' hot flame using a silent burner?

Hello BD, this is probably a stupid question but can you interchange silent caps with the plate type on any stove? my little brain tells me there might be problems as if they come that way leave well alone, but I like the quiet burn, thanks for all the info just subscribed to the channel and enjoying, Ted from N.Ireland

Hi BD, I’m restoring two of these one made in Australia and another from Sweden. I have them building pressure nicely but having trouble with kerosene spraying from the jet like a water pistol. It it because it’s not hot enough? Or any tips to stop that would be great. I enjoyed your video thanks
