$50000/year will be low for me in many years. Lowest I can see myself is $60000/year but $80000/year more realistic once I have at least 2 million ready in retirement.

$50K? Oh, my. We're not quite retired yet (she is, I'm not). So, while I'm earning $235K per year now, we expect to retire on permanent (and indexed for inflation) income of $135K, plus about $1.2M in an IRA. And we're STILL not sure if that will be sufficient.
