Because I've lost access to all my accounts and channels to the SBU (Ukraine's secret police), I don't have any way to promote my content—so please be so kind as to share this video with anyone whom you think might learn something. GL

Understanding 'how' to think vs. 'what' to think is the difference. And this difference is what make those of us who know 'how' to think very, very dangerous to any form of State that wishes to push a narrative or agenda!

Good morning Gonzalo. I was born and raised in Hanover NH, my parents worked at Dartmouth. It was the best place to grow up in, in the 70's.

Had to share. Your general point here is rarely ever discussed. I graduated from economics at UCL (London) in 96’ and went on to do an Politics BA & MA at London Guildhall, mastering in 2000. The institutions kept their names, but the ideological content has become king. Economics was already 90% ideology, but politics still had a neutrality that no longer exists… anywhere, it seems.

Gracious, Gonzalo ! I have been a teacher all my life and never heard such a fabulous description of a liberal arts education. And I am very little surprised that happened to you at Dartmouth ! But there is more to it, in your case. You also came to the party with the expectation that you could surmount anything you confronted. Cheers ! It is quite transparent that you know what you're doing !

Thank you Gonzalo, what you are doing is so valuable. Teaching youngsters to think for themselves is the best education, I was an art student in the late sixties what a time that was, but it taught me to think sideways and in three dimensions but best of all was to have confidence in myself, and to think around practical problems and not be defeated until all angles are exhausted, and know when to give up, and move on. Dogma is death, this is where we are now. Take care sweetheart, keep your family safe. Xxx

This is probably your best video ever!!!
Yes, there are military experts, financial experts, energy experts out there. But very few can build mental models to explain complex phenomena, and test whether those models correctly describe the reality. And not every liberal-arts graduate can do what you are doing, because you are a very special person, with a unique IQ, family background, and life experience.
Please keep making these amazing videos. And stay safe.

I too have a Liberal Art education from the 1970s and what you are describing is legal training. Usually in a court room for civil trials it all hinges on a word, especially in contract law! In politics and economics, I call it the pivot points. At these points, if data and actions go into a different direction, what happens. This is like thought experiments! All comes down to being emotionally detached from the outcome!

Yes, you’re an eye opener to me with my limited knowledge of the world. I’ve learned and still learning from your channel. Thanks 🙏 and please stay safe.

I went to the University of Minnesota on the GI Bill following a stint with the Army in Bamberg Germany. I learned it was more important to regurgitate what was given in the lectures and reading materials than it was to develop critical thinking skills.
Your analysis rings true to me, and it is easy to see that the western media most people allow to be spoon-fed into their brains is B.S.

This is Senator Scott of Florida's response to my criticism of our support for the action in Ukraine. Scott is a "supposed" Republican.

"Russia is a cancerous, evil regime that wants to destroy human rights and democracy in Eastern Europe. Vladimir Putin’s unjustifiable and unlawful invasion of Ukraine has violated the sovereignty of a free country and an American partner. I believe that the United States must continue to stand strongly with Ukraine and provide the lethal military aid it needs to win this war. Putin’s murderous attacks are a threat to our national security and the security of our democratic allies. It is fully in America’s best interests and national security to provide lethal military aid to Ukraine and stop Putin’s invasion NOW, which is why I voted to support the supplemental aid package for Ukraine."

Scott's response is long on emotion and short on evidence and logic. Seems he has taken a lesson from the liberals' playbook.

Mr GONZALO, man, I'm serious! You would make either ways a great teacher as you actually do right here or a damn good leader in what ever fields.
I trully love listening to you!

Nobody is omniscient so, I feel it important to listen to a range of perspectives in my quest...While I did attend the University of New Mexico, I dropped out very late and, as a young man, could never decide on a specific degree...I lost interest...My father had a very high security clearance with FTD and it was nearly a reality that I would follow in his footsteps..In many respects, the intelligence community was a perfect fit...Today, I am so thankful to our creator that I do not live in DC and am part of that insidious city because I’ve seen what it did to my oldest brother, who did follow that path..
I’m fairly convinced now that living in the District has the prerequisite of, at the very least, pretending to be a radical leftist..My father’s generation had true patriotism and honor and he is in disbelief at the shape of things...The one thing that has remained for me over the years is a burning desire to understand the world and it’s direction, current events or future...Mr. Lira is helpful in that regard and serves as a solid supplement to my other research...He also likes the band Rush, who are one of my favorites..

I graduated fall 2019 with a mathematics degree. I too had to spend hours everyday reading and writing on problems/proofs. Solving a problem in more than one way was important as sometimes you didn't have the information you needed to solve it one way. I'd say my education was as close someone recently could get to yours and I imagine that the mathematics program if your time was more rigorous.

I think your method of studying a new topic is before diving in, ask the right questions: what do I need to know, what's going on, why is it.. With that in mind, you can focus your resources (time, energy) to complete the task. Without questions, you could get lost, waste energy on unimportant details and unable to finish the task. Great videos. Thank you

Gonzalo, you sounds like you were talking about education system I went through. I was taught to find and process information and use it to solve the problem rather than given a set of facts, rules and instructions for certain known tasks. Hence I understand exactly what you are saying in all you videos. In fact you just confirms what I knew already.
And now the funny part - I got "Soviet" education! And it was not "liberal".
