First time traveling outside the United States of America I chose to go on a solo expedition backpacking for one month through Thailand in October 2023.
I am 31 years old based out of Northern California and for the first time.
My travel started in Bangkok then I went to Shang Mai and pie. I then flew to Phuket stayed two nights, then flew to Ko Samui and stayed two nights from there. I took a ferry toKoh Pha-ngan and stayed one week.

I traveled 17,868 miles or 37,357 km which is a total travel time
43 hours in a seat or in a driver position .
I walked 405 miles in the 27 days I was there
I biked 2160 miles
I boated 95 miles.

I spent $400 on transportation
1300 on my round-trip flight, Eva air from San Francisco to Taipei Taiwan then to Bangkok

I spent $100 flying from Bangkok to Chiang Mai (North Thailand)
I spent $150 flying from Chiang Mai to Phuket on Nok Airways
I spent 120 flying from Phuket to Ko Samui

I spent $30 on a ferry from Ko Samui to Koh Pha- Ngan
I spent $220 (package deal) for a ferry ride Koh Pha-ngan to Suvarnabhumi Thani then a bus ride to airport and airplane ride to BKK.

I made 16 new friends (Bangladesh, England, Ireland, Germany, India)
