Video Collection International Logo History

Here is a logo history of a classic British home video company! Their logos are really well known in the logo community and are nostalgic to lots of people. This video will only include VCI, 2 Entertain, and Stand Home Video.

Video Collection International (formerly The Video Collection) was a British home video company formed in 1984 and established in 1985 based in London. The company was renamed VCI in 1994 due to financial losses, and in 1999 the company was sold to the Kingfisher group. In 2004, the company merged with BBC Video to form 2 Entertain.

I don't even remember which VHS it was on, but I loved the spinning TV logo as a kid. I used to be convinced it was a dancing robot, too!

Excellent logo history of Video Collection, Jonty! Video Collection's logos are very interesting, does have very nice and neat 3D graphics. And I'm pretty sure it will bring nostalgia to many British people that watched their VHS tapes as children. And if I do have a favourite logo, then it would be the 2nd logo from the first division, the logo from Video Collection International, and the logo from 2 Entertain.

The 3rd logo scared me so much. Where to this day, I still get freaked out from it at the age of 24. I always remember having a dreaming (even someone else said the same). Where I am falling through the globe and it never ends for falling and the music is really really loud. Then after the music and scene ends. The VCI tells me, we are friendly, don't worry :)

1:30 - Anyone else used to hate seeing this logo? You're just casually watching one of your tapes and then right after the credits with no warning I hated that loud noise!

Edit: Also, I used to think that the symbol between the 2 and e was a number one (so 21 Entertain! 🤣🤣🤣).

The first time I saw this logo wasn't the original "Video Collection" logo, as the first time I actually see this logo was in the Strand VCI Entertainment logo.
