How To Make Liquid DnB Part 1: Drums

An updated version of a tutorial I did a long time ago!

Sorry that I can't give you the samples they're from paid sample packs. This is just to get an idea of what goes into making a drum beat.

@Hiney01 I know that was something i was getting worried about. I'm going to use NI Massive for the bassline, and maybe nexus for the piano/ pads. So try get the both within the next week or so!

Nice to see you used to ultrabeat, something i find really useful is rather than selecting the stereo out select the 8xstereo and 8xmono outputs, you can then send your kicks to the mono channels and i find it all alot easier for processing.

@Hiney01 The reason i did that is if you put the volume loud on a small point and scroll across often you can hear frequencies that don't sound right. So i just cut them out, doesn't make a huge difference but if you listen back it does make it sound better!

@Hiney01 Pretty much all samples except the breaks are from the BHK sample packs, I can't say enough about them!

@Mr4Enzics I used to do that way. The only problem i see is you can't add automation to invividual tracks. So i send all drums to different channels :)

And btw, you could use the Sample Delay plugin instead of duplicating an panning :)

Does taking out those tiny pin points in the mids and highs on the kick EQ really make that much of a difference?

Hey there i see you answer your viewers questions in the comments so i wanna ask you something too. What is in your opinion the best sample pack for (Liquid) DnB?
It should have a few nice snares in it, and most important hat/shaker/etc breaks/loops that sound really nice. Can you recommend my a few? Also if possible royalty free :)
