Marianne Plaisance, 33, and her boyfriend purchased an apartment in an old bank in Montreal, Québec, Canada in September 2022 for $500,000. Marianne, who is also a content creator, has spent the past 2½ years transforming her home through various interior design and DIY projects.

Unlocked is a home tour series focused on how much people across the globe spend on their housing, what they get for the money and what they had to sacrifice to make it happen.

Wow, from an interior designer person myself, you two have a knack when in comes to design and final product. I love the colours, the accent pieces and keeping a lot of the old character and charm. That vault walk-in closets is the best. The wall panels, moulding and upper finials are beautiful. Dads are always the best helping out their little girls, it’s a must. Thanks for sharing. My wife and I have been to Montreal quite a few times, and just like Quebec City we love it there.

Mariaaaanne! Been following her for years, she never disappoints! Not my aesthetic, but I LOVE watching people get creative and personalize their spaces! I do miss the Bob Ross mural and pop art DaVinci ceiling in her old loft space, but this new place is coming along SO great! 🌈

I live in Canada too. What an amazing way to live. So artistic. I love looking at places of people who are in the Arts. So much room to move around and it's so clean and neat which is fantastic! In Old Montreal during Winter it's very quiet but when Spring and Summer come along there's so much fun things to do.
