I never really thought about the words to this song until a couple years ago and they really hit me to the core. That line, “When you kissed your little baby, you have kissed the face of God, ” is one very powerful line in the song. It speaks such volume. We can’t even imagine holding baby Jesus in our arms but wow. I don’t know what Mary and Joseph were totally thinking but they had to marvel at the fact that they are looking at and holding their Savior in their arms. What an incredible moment that night. It made the angels shout aloud.
