El Médano - is a city located on the south-eastern coast of Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain). It is situated in a small bay, near the reserve and the La Montaña Roja hill (no longer active volcanic cone) and about 20 km from the resort of Playa de Las Americas.
Due to the strong winds blowing in the area, the town has become a mecca for people who love water sports, such as surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and stand up paddleboarding. /
