No matter who wins or loses the trade war between China and the United States, it is the common people of both countries who are always hurt.

It’s not the problem of other country. Its your own problem.USA.None of your resident wants to work in a factory condition 12 hours a day with 1/3 of your minimum wages. Weak up lazy people. You have to work hard to make good competition. Not blaming other people work harder than you.

Talking about nonsense. Deficit? It is trade imbalance, not deficit. Deficit is what you have when you overspend beyond your budget. It is your fault. Did he get any education?

the deficit is 375b not 507, and in fact, most of product are from american companies produces in china, like apple... who can take the money they earned in china to us, to buy a house for example. So if you consider that, the deficit would be much lower.

Looking at the trade deficit and seeing it as other countries taking advantage of the U.S is like looking at one side of a cube and calling it a square. If I gave you a dollar for an apple I'd have an apple and 100% trade deficit with you ... did I get taken advantage of.

Americans don’t buy Chinese cars even though the tariff is 0% on Chinese cars. Chinese buy tons of American cars even though the tariff is 25% on American cars

He has a more correct view on this for US interests than does the "wise" Charlie Munger.
Difference is Munger is investing in China and that is all he cares about.
I also like China and am interested in it, but for US interests, this is correct way to describe what is happening.

Trump is the best, it’s better to stop these Chinese people now! Before it’s too late. Trump is taking the right steps. The world has hopes on the US or else it will destroy everyone. Chinese cannot be trusted at all. Worst country on earth, it’s fully run by dictators, no freedom, disgusting. Took over Tibet, causing chaos in South China Sea and slowly destroying poor countries by making nasty deals. It’s time to stop buying anything made in China. Destroy China by boycotting anything that is from China.

Trade deficit occurs when you buy more than you can make. Chinese or EU don’t buy all that much so forcing them to buy more to balance the trade is not feasible. Maybe Americans should buy less especially when you live from month to month and spend on credit.

President Trump is running circles around everyone since President Reagan. Keep up the good work Mr. President (and Mr. Kernen). Thank you

China has trade barriers against other countries. Other countries, US included has a right to put trade barriers too.

Re-route all of the manufacturing supply routes from China to SE Asia.
China shouldn't bite the hand that feeds - we don't need them!

Chinese have been working very hard to make all products but "earn" those QE infinity dollars. Who do you think is taking advantage of us? It is more fair if trade using GOLD.

Because of how money is managed in the US, whatever Trump is doing is similar to sealing a hole in a boat only to pop open a new one to keep it sinking. The past presidents could and would not do anything because they listened to their economic advisors and they did not want to be the face that led the collapse in US & World history for generations to remember. Keeping the tarriffs low is a financial dilemma. By doing this, you are able to import cheaply for the American people to have a high living standards but at the same time getting yourself into more debt via trade deficits. What Trump is doing is saying "I don't want to be in any deficit." "I want to make money (like a businessman)" but this will only happen at the cost of the American people. It is very possible to see many Americans live in poverty in the next decade because of this trade war. The only thing to watch out for is repeat history and start a war with the rationale that other countries are making the US suffer when the problem had always been due to how the US managed its finances in as early as the early 20th century. Had the US not been the International Currency, had the US not exported its dollars abroad, and had the US not designed itself to have trade deficits and have tremendous amounts of debt, it would have been a third world country since as early as the 70s. How far it's delayed this is truly remarkable but it also means the pressure will be painful. I hope this would not happen.

Trump is right, no one complained. We've had some real bad and incompetent presidents lately. We just took it in the ass and had no one with a spine to say anything.
