The Dragon said: "The story we have been a part of will live long in the minds of men." That is so true. Even 7 years after the series finished, fandom is still alive. We are waiting for Arthur to rise again!

whenever Merlin screams 'I can't lose him!' I think about how Bradley's eardrum must be nonexistent

*_Arthur is not just a King. He is the once and future King. Take heart, for when Albions need is greatest, Arthur will rise again._*
*_It has been a privilege to have known you young warlock. The story we have a part of, will live long in the minds on men._*

"it has been a privilege" - the way Kilgarrah says that makes my heart ache every time

'When albions need is greatest Arthur will rise again' surely that's a clue

“I can’t loose him, he’s my friend!” That line coupled with the mired look of hurt and devastation on Merlin’s face ripped my heart out. Merlin’s loyalty to Arthur and his heart of brotherhood.

They better make another one where Merlin is an old man helping Arthur in the future.

Merlin is the saddest character in TV history. Most of the time Arthur, the one he believed in, treated him like shit and unfair and barely said any nice words. Merlin kept his secret pretty much by himself, which is already a pretty heavy weight, and now, after losing all the ones he loved, his dad, Lancelot, Freya, Gawain, Arthur, he's alone again. So many tears!!! How can the writers be so cruel especially if this was meant to be a family show? They say they wanted to stick with the true story... I get it at some parts, but are you, dear writers, trying to tell the kids: "Life is sad and you will be alone." Really? Please, explain...

Thanos snapped half of the world to ashes, is it albion's greatest need now?

It's so sad that Arthur had to die. I love the strong bond he and Merlin had. They were like brothers.
Love Merlin ... It should have ended differently.

Great men are forged in fire. It is the privilege of lesser men to light the flame. Whatever the cost - John Hurt (The War Doctor)

I recently read somewhere that Merlin is one of the most frequently binged watched tv programs on Netflix. The show ended 7 years ago and people still can't let go. The way it ended one would expect a 6th season or a spin off. If there was a stronger following, I'm sure Netflix would've produced a 6th season or even a spin off....the story just leaves you sad. Don't get me wrong, the ending wasn't bad. However, there were some plot holes I thought would've been fixed. Arthur and Merlin really didn't fulfill their destiny of bringing magic back to the lands. When I saw old Merlin walking alone by the lake, I thought that was in place should someone decide to continue the story.

I'm like Merlin, in a sense that even now, years after the show has ended, i'am still waiting for Arthur to rise again and with him a season 6 and if people working at the BBC see that comment, please, bring it back because we are thousands upon thousands still waiting in hope for it's return and just know that our fandom hasn't died, we are still here !!!

The strongest and greatest friendship I’ve ever seen in any game or show I’ve watched. It’s one of my favourite shows. But seriously, rated 12? Kids will be emotionally in turmoil because of this. I know I was and I only watched it a year or so ago for the first time, and I was blubbering like an 8 year old. Something I’ll never recover from even at 27 years old
