We all know, Krystal is an Oppenheimer chick and Kyle is a true Barbie.

They should do a Ken movie where he goes to the real world, drops out college, gets addicted to fentanyl and dies homeless and alone…

Imagine taking your 7 year old to a PG-13 movie and being shocked it wasn’t appropriate lol.

It is ironic that Krystal Ball, the personification of 2010s girl boss feminism, hated the movie.
The movie is self aware and doesn't take itself seriously. Something that Krystal still needs to learn.
Some jokes were hit and miss, as with any other movie. But what does a Barbie movie itself have to do with the Hollywood writers strike or the excesses of capitalism? And why shouldn't the Studio profit from a movie it has invested a lot of money in?
Krystal's criticism falls flat in my humble opinion.
Everyone in the movie hall loved the movie and had a great time. And ultimately that's what it's all about. Saagar thinks the same and very subtly points it out to Krystal.

Kinda fun to see Krystal and Saagar do these movie review segments. Hopefully they will do this intermittently going forward.

Who would have guessed that Krystal and Ben Shapiro would agree about anything, let alone a Barbie movie?

I’m still not sure why so many people think PG-13 means it has to be appropriate for 6 year olds. It’s literally right there: 13. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark isn’t exactly kid friendly, and its PG-13. Something can be geared to adults without needing a hard R rating.

All I can say is the Barbie marketing campaign was on another level 😮

Krystal, it's not a "kids movie." It's PG-13. Like *Gremlins* or *The Wolverine* or even the Indian Jones movie where the villain pulls a man's heart out of his chest. For Christ's sake, the trailer was an homage to *2001: A Space Odyssey.* Why would you ever think this film would be in the same category as *The Lorax* ? You know that saying "When someone shows you who they are, believe them?" The same goes for movies. I guess we can add this to the long list of stories about parents being shocked and offended after bringing their kids to a movie that's pretty clearly not a "kid's movie." Yeah, little kids play with Barbie. Little kids also play with Batman. I wouldn't have brought a 6 year old to The Dark Knight (also PG-13).

I thought it was hilarious. Definitely not a kids movie but god damned if I didn’t crack up at every Ken joke

“I’m a man with no power. Does that make me a woman?” 😂😝🤣

Pretty obvious from the marketing that this wasn't strictly a childrens film.

I went with my wife (begrudgingly), but I actually found the movie entertaining. The “woke” messaging was borderline satire and people who think otherwise are honestly taking this movie (and frankly, everything in life) way too seriously. It’s a low stakes film with some funny jokes sprinkled throughout. It’s not meant for your 6-year old, which is implied by the PG-13 rating. Sometimes movies can just be movies, and not viewed as some political message.

Krystal is that parent who would come in when I worked at a theatre and be appalled that Sausage Party is not for kids even though it’s animated. Barbie is PG13, the film was never truly marketed for young children. It’s your fault if you don’t do enough research going in.

I saw this movie and saw it as a light hearted fluff movie with a underlying social commentary. I guess I go into a movie more innocently, hoping for a couple hours of escape and not looking for something, anything to be pissed about, like too many of us are nowadays. We need to restore our ability to laugh at ourselves a little if we are to ever come back together in a love and understanding as a society, as a country. Imho.

Not a kid's movie Krystal, it's rated PG-13
SeanFreiburg
Wow, got to say, people need to take more responsibility for raising their kids. If you take your kids to a pg-13 movie thinking that itll be fine without doing even the bare minimum of investigating why its pg13, thats on you 🤦♂️

I have to admit One of my absolute favorite thing's is watching Saagar sip coffee gleefully, As Krystal rail's about some odd topic.

“I’m glad I was out of town so that I didn’t bring my six year old”
The movie is rated PG-13, since when is that a child’s movie?

Political critique of the Barbie movie… peak cringe
