Peggy Lee was one of the most prolific jazz and pop artists of the 20th century! This was one of her early pop hits.
"It's a Good Day" was written by Peggy and her then husband Dave Barbour.
Dave was her co-writer, accompanist, and bandleader and was the featured guitarist on this track. [I think this was the best bee-bop jazz guitar solo of that era!] It was recorded on September 28, 1946, released November 16th and reached #16 on the Billboard charts in January, 1947

I needed to hear something upbeat today, so I thought I’d do a mono-to-stereo conversion on this snappy 40’s pop hit. [It always amazes me how much great sound is in those course-groove 78-RPM shellac discs!]

Bob - Nice clean version, and I really like your channel's format. Do you take requests? Maybe different genres.
