i had recently been on that plane and its the best plane I've been on in all of my years of travelling, Transat you've really upped your game !

I understand this is no world class airline but im very impressed with their new and very modern new cabin, definitely want to try it sometime.

Yes, it was uncomfortable. Also, the tracks on the floor are designed for 8 abreast. Since they cram in an extra seat, it means you can't put your bag under the seat infront of you properly, and your feet need to be off to the side a bit. Cramming in more seats also means you are fighting for the limited overhead compartment space. The return flight was 2-4-2, so not as bad.

Lots of people buying tickets with AirTransat because they're some of the best and cheapest tickets you can find, and complain because their seat isn't luxurious, LOL. Give you head a shake.

Actually some A310's have had minor cabin touch ups and refurbishments. Some of my colleagues said you won't notice it because its just fixing wear and tear.

Do all Air Transat aircraft (non propeller if they have propeller ones) have seatback screens?

actually, the 332s and 310s have had 9-abreast for years. The 333s, however, have 8-abreast. Not sure if that will remain the same but I think the 332 and 333 have the same number of seats for dispatch purposes... not 100% sure about that though

In that case I'm tempted to try it. Either way I would take it since Air Canada is expensive but doesn't have the best quality and A.T. has cheaper fares as it is

Note.. they show the cabins empty.. because if you look at the quick shots of the economy seats..there is like 6 inches of legroom  from the seat in front of you..

Years ago we endured an uncomfortable flight with Air Transat, when my 6'3" husband's knees were jammed against the seat in front for hours. He vowed that day to NEVER fly that airline again. It seems that unless one is willing to pay a lot more money, the seat pitch with Air Transat has not improved at all since then. Our adult children are taller than we are and I'm sure we're not the only ones with that situation.
