1. Open the trunk. Pull the lever, and fold the rear seat back forward.

4. Push on the tabs, and remove the cargo hook.
5. Pull away the weatherstrip. Remove the left trunk side trim panel. Remove the right trunk side trim panel the same way.
6. Wearing eye protection, use a 9mm drill bit to enlarge one clip hole to 9mm.
-Wrap tape around the drill bit at 15 to 20 mm from the tip of the bit.
-Remove any burs from the edge of the hole using a round file. Apply touch up paint to the drilled surface and allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
7. Repeat step 6 on the right side of the vehicle.
8. Thread the rivet nut onto the mandrel of the rivet nut tool as shown.
9. Insert the rivet nut into the hold in the left trunk side panel and install the hex wrench on the rivet nut tool.
10. While holding the rivet nut tool with the hex wrench, turn the 19mm wrench counterclockwise and install the rivet nut to the left trunk side panel.
11. Remove the tool from the rivet nut by turning the hex wrench counterclockwise.
12. Repeat steps 8 through 11 to install a second rivet nut on the left side, and two rivet nuts on the right side.
13. Using a utility knife, cut out the insulation from the left trunk side panel using the measurements shown.
14. Attach the left template to the trunk side trim panel with masking tape in the location shown.
15. Using a felt-tip pen, mark the left trunk side trim panel through the hole in the left template. Remove the left template.
16. Using a pushpin, pierce the left trunk side trim panel at the mark you made in step 15.
17. Wearing eye protection, drill the pierced mark in the left trunk side trim panel to 15 mm. First drill with a 3 mm drill bit, and finish with a 15 mm hole saw. Remove any burrs.
18. Re-install the left trunk side trim panel.
19. Thread a bolt into each anchor.
20. Thread one anchor A into the upper rivet nut and one anchor B into the lower rivet nut. Adjust each anchor to the horizontal position.
21. Using the right template, repeat steps 13 through 20 to install anchors on the right side of the vehicle.
22. Reinstall all the removed parts.
23. Install the cargo net to the anchors in the trunk.

I ordered a cargo net from my local dealership thinking it would be as easy as it was to "install" as it was in my old Camry. This is insane. I'll be returning the net tomorrow. Unbelievable, Honda!

Looks more painful than swapping out the transmission.

This is a pain in the ass. All that drilling. I bet there's a easier way to install without all that extra work

Seriously?? All of the lining and stripping needs to be removed? WHY DOESNT HONDA PROVIDE THE CAR NETS INSTALLED OR AT LEAST THE HOOKS FOR IT!!

I'm very disappointed that the cargo net isn't pre-installed on the V6 Touring model.

Why didn't Honda just install some hooks at the factory? My Toyota came all set up for a cargo net, and the net was free with the car, unlike Honda. This is a pain in the backside.

Those damn clips are a pain like on the right side I straight tried putting them back on and nope they all broke I'm just going to buy some other type of clips that don't break easily.

This is insane. All this to install a simple cargo net? You kidding me?

Needing a specialty tool and having to drill holes for something as simple as a cargo net is ridiculous. This is designed on purpose to force most people to pay their dealer to install...or at minimum rent a rivet nut tool from a dealer.
