I've struggled for most of my life (I'm now in my mid 50's) autistic, find making friends difficult and feeling like a square peg in around hole (like Matthew) bullied, not heard, no support, neglected by services, unstable housing for years, and for most of this year (2022) I was living in a tent with my little dog, contemplating re-homing my dog and ending my life because the council told me to re-home my dog and go to a hostel which I wouldn't do either of those things and they failed in their duty to prevent my homelessness after my landlady moved back into the property and letting agents said no to me because of my dog. Jesus heard and saved me. I was one way - fearful, destitute, bullied, traumatised and finding coping with being autistic very, very frightening with social anxiety and distress increasing every day until I couldn't cope anymore and felt that as much as I wanted the pain to stop and the only way for it to stop was to end my life, but fearing that might mean I would never spend eternal life with Our Lord as suicide is seen as a sin, I was nearing a complete breakdown and put in motion my planned suicide after I could re-home my dog who is my friend, companion and who needed me. I felt so lost. But like Mary of Magdala, something happened she couldn't quite explain or comprehend. She was one way, but then completely different and what happened in between was Him. This is how I feel. All of a sudden, I was supported and now have a secure tenancy. Jesus saved both myself and my little dog as we are still together. I am truly different and forever changed. Jesus changed me forever by saving me. I wouldn't wish homelessness upon anyone and the suicidal ideation that goes with it and the hopelessness, discrimination, judgement from others) but I also feel that if it wasn't for my prolonged period of destitution this year, I would still be "one way". I love being different now. I love that Jesus came into my heart and showed me how to find my way home & back to Him. I am truly blessed. I am forever changed and forever His. He transformed me into who I was meant to be. He truly is our in between! Thank you Lord Jesus xxxx

One of my favorite scene in the "The Chosen" when Nicodemus amazed how Mary Magdalene transformed into a new being, and Mary says the line "And the thing that happened in between, was Him" .
