getting the hang of fur simulation and not getting things taking multiple days to render (failed the second one though oops)

trying to replicate the exact rankin bass wooly tinny fur was hard but i think i did good enough

CHARACTERS: Smudge, Tigerstar
SCRIPT: Smudge running happily until he grows older, choosing to sit down sadly. Tigerstar interjects, talking (I took it way too literally and had him literally deflate lol)
SOFTWARE USED:
2D PORTION: Clip studio paint, Adobe after effects
3D PORTION: Zbrush (sculpting) Maya (UV Mapping, background, rigging, fursim, animating and rendering), Substance painter (texturing), adobe after effects (compositing)
