The Pantheon is a former Roman temple rebuilt during the reign of emperor Hadrian on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). Since 609, the Pantheon is a Catholic church, Basilica of St. Mary and the Martyrs. The building is cylindrical with a portico of large granite Corinthian columns and a large circular domed cella, unique in Roman architecture. It is one of the best-preserved of all Ancient Roman buildings, in large part because it has been in continuous use throughout its history. Almost two thousand years after it was built, the Pantheon's dome is still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome.

La mia Roma conosciuta in parte a causa del troppo traffico e mancanza di parcheggi. Il Panteon però l'ho visitato e come tutti i monumenti antichi ha un fascino particolare
So che era una chiesa ma ora non ricordo i particolari tanto poi li leggo da qualche parte dove sei più propenso a dare risposte e spiegazioni
