as someone who comes from windows powered by intel to this new M1 Macbook Pro, it made my work so much better. Fast, reliable and powerful enough to run multiple tasks at the same time. I love it..no remorse buying it at all.

I love my M1 MacBook Pro, performance and battery life are astonishing and I really like to Touch Bar. Definitely worth it.

I mean I have an m1 MacBook Pro and I love it. Battery life can get me through an entire day on heavy load and performance is great. When I'm gaming performance doesn't go down cause the fan kicks in a bit. Although the MacBook Air is more bang for your buck, the MacBook Pro is still an amazing machine.

It’s crazy. Just two years ago when my brother was shopping for a Macbook I told him don’t bother with the Air and start with at least the 13 inch MBP. And now, I feel like the MBP isn’t worth the $300 premium over the Air anymore.

My main concern about the M1 MacBook Air is the lack of fan and I haven’t really seen YouTubers talk about the potential long term implication of this. If I’m planning on having my MacBook for 5-7 years, like my current MacBook, I’m concerned about how future OS updates will impact performance, especially without a fan to cool the machine

I just bought the pro. It may seem crazy, but I knew that missing out on those 100 nits of screen brightness would drive me crazy as soon as I ran into a situation that the screen was hard to see. Not only that but the performance overhead and... I have always been curious about the Touch Bar. Like all tools, it's subjective to usage cases on whether it works out on an individual level. Lastly, in my own personal use case, I have a pretty powerful iMac at home for the heavy lifting (although this has every chance of being more powerful but I've got 40gb of RAM in the iMac so that helps), so this is more of a work machine with light audio editing. Basically a perfect little machine until Apple pulls the rabbit out of the hat a few times and I have to upgrade in a few years. Thanks for the awesome review!

Have my MB Air M1 Base for a few days and I like it sooo much

I have the M1 Air and I absolutely love it. It's my first Mac and I' never going back to windows. MacOs is so smooth and I love the gestures, the keyboard and the chip in here is on another level. I have the base/cheapest version of the Air and its perfect for college. It runs all my software buttery smooth and I can't get over how good the battery is.

Just for reference I use Adobe, Autodesk, & all the ERSI geospatial software. (ERSI runs on windows virtual desktop better than natively on my own PC)

I literally thought about EVERYTHING YOU JUST SAID on the Air vs. the pro, and I purchased the Air last week because of everything you just said as THE AIR IS THE REAL PRO! Agreed.

I used both new macbooks and chose the Pro version. I will share my thoughts: the built-in ssd is expensive, I took at least 256GB, but 16GB of RAM. And I bought a high-speed external ssd for 2tb. Air with 256GB castrated, so you need to take at least 500. And the difference in price between Air 500 and Pro 256 is only 150$. What do we get for these 150$? - just a little - a slightly brighter screen, a more capacious battery, faster charging, better speakers, better microphone, cooler and of course touchbar! I would have taken the firmware for editing the video only because of the touchbar. In Davinci it is EXTREMELY functional. You can even make corrections right on the touchbar when playback is on FULL SCREEN! It is very cool! This is how I made my choice 😉
