Nursing homes have their own doctor and managers who make decisions. My Aunt was in three nursing homes from Dec. 2019 through Sept. 2020. She went to the hospital and back and was in quarantine for 14 days each time. The homes checked for Covid several times a week. The decision is up to the doctor, if there is room or not to take a patient back. I talked to the homes when I had a concern or they called me if they had one. I don't understand why people are blaming Gov. Cuomo. The hospital or home would have to tell the relative what is going on with their loved one.
