@justinsong514 its to compensate for loss of notes because of the nature of how notes and chords work. Basically, in standard tuning, you can never get a perfect G chord and a perfect C chord because of how the notes work. The bent frets make that possible. I tried the best i could to explain it lol, you should see one of Steve Vai's guitar, every fret is whacked out, pretty cool!

@AlexanderScene the frets are called compensated, because of the nature of the guitar, its out of tune with itself so the off-set frets compensate for this.invented by some swedish guy i think.
