Cyberpunk 2077 - The Board Game DEMO Review — Feels like an arcade game!

Enter the iconic world of Cyberpunk 2077 in this real time sci-fi tabletop game! Launched on Gamefound by Go On Board games, this campaign game has hand management and puzzling around a map. Get in with a team of 2-4, and get out while playing a card a turn! We beat the 3 mission long demo with every asymmetric character! The progression system to get more of each color is insanely satisfying too! Or just do simpler turns of downloading ram! But do the components hold up to the real-time nature of the game? In fact, dice rolling isn’t great, so maybe this is just Euro propaganda against Ameritrash gaming? At any rate, it kind of feels like hotline Miami or Overcooked!

The full version will be 4 times as big, with a map booklet to go around the city.

Considering the funding they have gotten over the last 3 days, with this being a "preview/demo" build, I really hope they take your feedback into consideration. It's easier to patch a game after it launches than fix a boardgame after your sell it on the market, so getting it right at launch is paramount.

really liked this video on the game. I love that you do a pros and cons segment. getting to see how the gameplay in the real time part looked at two players was nice as well. hopefully they will take the feed back and make adjustments to improve the game.

Sounds like this game needs a fail forward mechanism. That way you have branching paths and not frustration of re starting a level

I'm now in the fence due to the real time aspect. If I wanted fast paced action, I will be playing the video game instead. Minis are very tempting though

Sad a lot of people are going to see 7/10 and think, "bad game." But a 7 is still high. I'm excited for it. It's a type of game that's pretty different from the rest of my collection.
