If you have more tips for people who are playing on a budget and don’t want to waste what they do spend in game on things that won’t help them long term?

Play in big active alliances. Rewards are better, shared rewards or secondary benefits from team spenders, growth quicker, a lot of good players out there happy to help people grow smartly.

Ok being patient is cool but what happens when you get attacked? They take a lot of resources.. so that means you can’t upgrade your castle. How do you keep your resources safe from an attack

Upgrade your buildings to increase resource output. Research new technologies to improve your army.
