Seeing Paul persecuted by the Jews - stoned almost to the point of death - this is what brought him intimately closer to his Lord. Pain and suffering is not to be feared friends. When we are brought to our knees we are in the perfect position to submit and be ministered to by the Lord. May He increase as we decrease!

The fact that Paul started preaching days after his encounter with Jesus
Is a reminder that spiritual blindness is crippling
He literally knew God's word yet only understood it after Christ and understood it enough to fulltime preach about Jesus moments after conversion

Another well done video...thank you. A few recommendations:
- After Saul/Paul became a Christian in Damascus, he gradually spiritually matured over decades. Right after gaining his vision back, he was extremely spiritually immature thus poorly taught, which combined with his aggressive personality was another key factor is having to flee city (via in a basket through a city wall hole).
- In Paphos, Saul/Paul was still spiritually immature and chose a destructive (temporarily physically debilitate) instead of a Christ-like constructive (heal, remove evil spirits, etc) demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit working through him on Elyma in front of the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an already intelligent and sensible man of sound understanding who already sought to hear the Word of God. BTW...this was Saul/Paul's first human-to-human supernatural physically altering demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit working through him, hence Saul/Paul's spiritually immature mimicking what was done to him on the road to Damascus. So, John Mark (a spiritually mature Christian, and also a cousin of Barnabas) departed from the missionary journey with Saul/Paul because of Saul/Paul's non-Christ-like drastic measures.
- For a later video, many years later, when Saul/Paul is spiritually mature in approximately in his early 60s, Saul/Paul is finally aware of John Mark's spiritual maturity and would like John Mark to visit him in the Roman prison he's currently in.

This video is a true treasure. I’ve read these stories, but to see them condensed all at once really gave a unique and very special clarity.

Everyone talks about the story of Jesus, very few actually talk about his disciples that kept his message just after his lifetime, awesome

Love that the animations are back but I can't help but see Escanor as you animated Paul. Don't know if it was intentional or not but I love it.

Fun fact; the encounter with Bar-jesus is the first time we see the name Paul. Bar-jesus is called Elymas, which means some great one; Saul "also [wa]s called Paul, " or the small. So from the beginning of Paul's missionary life we see God using the small things to confound the great.
