MONTREUX GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB PART 1

We had the pleasure to play one of the best courses in the Reno/Tahoe area called Montreux Golf & Country Club. At 7,472 from the Golden Bear tees and a slope of 140 it was easily one of the toughest courses we've ever played. Even though we were playing at about 4,500 feet of elevation it really didn't make the course any shorter. With a steady 20 mph wind all day and some of the trickiest bent grass greens we've seen this course was a stern challenge.

Montreux is the home to the Barracuda Championship and is an official PGA TOUR Stop.

This was such great fun to watch. Not perfect golf that was edited to make sure it looked perfect. Imperfect swings that prove you can play at a high level even if all you can do is draw the ball. Taylor proves that through a ton of practice you can play decent golf with an over the top flip swing. And the big man has some great hands and feel. Keep it up you just gained a new fan.

I live up in N. Cal. I have played in the area of Nevada. At 11am it is benign. By noon the wind howls through there. I was playing one time and stood over my ball and couldn't hold my hands still because the wind was blowing so hard. Dropped my $100+ on that course with no fore warning of what was to come. Montreux is beautiful as are the other courses. Consider yourself warned about the elements.
