I've been a fan since the beginning! George has an energy and brilliance that's mesmerizing. I saw them live in 1983 and 1984. The other fans were so kind and beautiful. I remember all the attempted bullying, derogatory terms and insults that came with wearing a CC concert shirt in public.
I also remember all the friends who stuck up for me . Random girls that introduced themselves and became my instant friends. Whenever, I run into childhood friends they often mention their respect for me being myself regardless of what others thought.
They see me now and realize that today I'm still the same.
I remember reading his book at age 13 and saw what a great scene he was part of in London and it put into motion my desire to find recordings, 12" extended mixes of all the most fabulous and obscure artists which continues until today! This video is so beautiful, thanks for sharing!
