"Regular qualifying format is boring."

Miami GP: "Hold my beer"

Field was so close today. Sargeant wasnt even that far off. Also the Stroll missing Q3 was a horrible gamble on his and Aston Martins side since the field was so close.

In a sense, Matt's jinxing is working seeing with Max's luck so far, but Karma always have enough hands to slap Charles too.

Charles needs a sports psychologist or something. The dude puts so much pressure on himself and makes himself vulnerable to so many mistakes

I was at the qualy today. It looks significantly more exciting than expected. They spent a lot of time before the race scrubbing the track to fix some of the concerns about it being dirty and slippery after FP2.

Yes last year was a snooze fest and this year might not be epic, but don’t give up on Miami yet. The carnival atmosphere in person is charming. It’s full of Americans in overpriced f1 merch that know nothing about the sport but are eager to learn.

A young girl of about 18 asked me if they had air conditioning in the cars.

Amazing day for us Haas fans, Nico getting in q3 would've made the perfect quali but we take it

That was just an insane Qual from start to finish

3 spanish speakers in the top 3 is perfect for Miami

The driver quali reactions just dropped from f1. Stroll was saying that there turned out to be a 1 second difference on used versus new tires, and they had chosen to go out on used tires, thinking they were safe. Presumably they were planning ahead for the race, so he'd have another set of new tires for tomorrow.

I think it's gonna be tough for max to get past because Magnussen and Gasly will likely form a trulli train behind then and Russel and Leclerc will get stuck for a while. It'll be interesting to see how Red Bull works the strategy to get Max into clear air.

Gotta respect the fact that Matt and Tommy are putting out content even though it’s crazy late in the UK.

It does make it easier for me as an American fan though

Well Matt, you got what you wanted of Max not being in pole. In the other hand, Charles really likes to ruin some qualifying weekends by crashing at the very last minute of qualifying. Everyone (including me) is blaming Ferrari for Charles' downfall but we’re forgetting the fact that Charles also likes to crash due to his greediness of pushing his car too much.

Lance was out in Q1 cuz Aston did their final run on used Softs whereas everyone else did it on fresh softs. Alonso was almost knocked out as well, i believe he was only a tenth and a half clear of 16th

It's very unfair to just label it as 18th compared to 2nd

Poor Charles is probably under immense pressure to get to P3 in the drivers standings

Yeah, I agree that this track opens up the opportunity for better drivers to try things that they shouldn't to move up through the field. If they're impatient, that may be it for them.
