Love Drunk

My first "peaceful" composition ever. Granted that it is about love, there is still tension and discord, but of a far different variety than anything I've written to date. In the conceptual game that I am composing for, this would be the theme that plays when the protagonist meets/gets to know his love interest, etc. In some ways, it symbolizes love at first sight. Texture-wise, it is very simple, but harmonically it is moderately colorful. It includes the first ever iteration of the "main theme" in major instead of minor.

Sounds like a mixture between some RPG-esque music and classical. Awesome!
I like how you use the instruments; Soft strings in the background, harp playing some kind of rhythm part(the arpeggio really fits!), oboe(?) to play the melody... Just epic ^^
The piece changes its power now and then, and I think it really makes this tune great!
The chords work beautifully together ^w^

Thank you! I actually do have a much much higher quality sound library now, it's supposed to be one of the best there are (EWQL Symphonic Orchestra). I just haven't really had the time to "redo" all of my compositions but now that it's summer I'm actually going to reupload all of my music, as well as compose more pieces with the higher sound quality. Thanks, I'm really glad you like it. This is using an older instrument library so the stuff that's gonna be in our game is going to sound a lot more realistic. By the way, I'm about to upload another Mario arrangement and hopefully one more after that

I tend to latch on to very specific motifs so to speak in pieces, and from 0.53 to 1.07. That is sublime! Perhaps explore that harmony and melody more? But keep it coming!

Hey, Jason here. I've been cruising around your videos since you posted the Mario one. Wow! This is all really, really impressive. Hopefully you'll consider it a compliment, but in the early going on this one, I definitely felt like it would fit in easily with Shenmue or Final Fantasy. Really, really impressive!
